A Cambodian proverb I learnt- “For news of the heart, ask the face.”
Crazy, magical, beautiful morning, I texted Jon.
My favourite temple, of the 4 I’ve seen.
Isn’t that the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider temple? asked Spice.
Yup! Climbed all the way up at Temple 3, because I got excited!
Then remembered I have a bit of height phobia.
I did this one as well. Wasn’t so bad as I recall.
I have a slight phobia…so had to psyche self on the going down.
Insane looking structures, commented Jon.
Simply, simply stunning!
How is Cambodia? Zen asked.
How can such an advanced, sophisticated civilisation that built these complex, magnificent structures, become…
The theory behind the fall of Angkor is the water supply… no water, no crops; civilisation declines.
But it’s just a theory. (Zen is very smart.)
I got rid of the driver after this morning’s jaunt. He kept asking for more money.
Ok, Baby. As long as you’re safe. Maybe enough jaunting already?
Childhood (Male) BFF texted- Do you like Angkor Wat and Siem Reap?
Very much…it’s very different from other cities-
It’s not an easy city to like.
It’s got such a complicated and sad past…
But it’s not possible to be here, and not feel.
Yeah, he agreed. I know what you mean. I liked it a lot too.
