To celebrate my week-old blog, and some writing work that I am proud of, I decided to go on a date.
My date’s not very tall. But he sure is dark and handsome.
He’s an economical date; sharing the fish off my plate. He doesn’t need an alcoholic drink, nor a pudding. His manners are impeccable as well.
None of that mournful wailing he does on cue, the moment he loses sight of me.
After dinner, we take a walk.
The sun is setting, the air is crisp, the sky painted in soft hues.
My daughter texts me from Singapore. Mommy I am safely home.
Ok! I say. Wow, in time for breakfast!
Hahahahaha, yup! I’m gonna shower now. I smell gross!
The sun is setting, the air crisp, and the sky is painted in soft hues.
Love you, Mommy. I’m going to bed now.
Summer is gone.
Fall is here.
